Department of the INTERIOR!

It took a long time to get to the interior. Finally, in May of 2004, my Dad and I flew to the Velocity factory to have Jeff Driscoll take care of it. He does many of the planes built in the factory service center and has extensive experience in hte Velocity form factor. When you think about all the nooks and crannies in the cabin, this sure helps. He worked with us to pick a color scheme and design. We chose from a large selection of materials at his nearby shop. He is more than willing to accomadate special requests in terms of design, logos, etc. After all, this is a true custom job. I went with a subdued interior to complement the leather seats. The carpeting was royal blue and might look a little bright in these photos, but it definitely lightens up the interior and doesn't seem overly bright when you look into the interior which is seen by light passing through tinted windows. Jeff's work is fast and very well done. Ahhhh! Love that new car smell!

Note tabs at top of bulkhead which mate with the velco of the top hap half's tabs.

Jeff did an amazing job handling the complex curves of the fresh air plenum and mouldings around the windows and doors. Keel is covered with matching vinyl. Bolster arm rest is made out of temperfoam left over from the seat modification. Royal blue carpeting brightens up the otherwise dark interior.
